TIME: Show Begins at 7:30, but get there early to enjoy dinner and drinks - doors open at 6:30pm
LOCATION: Emanuel's Tavern, Atlanta, GA
TICKETS: The event is FREE, but you MUST register in advance to attend this event.
The show will begin at approximately 7:30pm and last from approximately one hour in the First Level (what used to be called the Back Bar) of Manuel's Tavern at 602 North Highland Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30307. Manuel's Tavern is an award winning bar that welcomes a broad variety of people and opinions. We recommend you get there early to sample their food and drink. Also, these events fill up quickly and the seating is on a first come - first serve basis. The show is free, but please help support Manuel's Tavern by purchasing some food and drink so we can continue to have science events at this unique event.
Manuel's Tavern does have a parking lot out back for its patrons. However, it does sometimes fill up forcing you to seek street or garage parking nearby. The Inman Park-Reynoldstown transit station is a 1.1 mile walk from Manuel's Tavern. You could also take the 102 bus from North Avenue Transit Station.
All ages will be admitted to this show, but it is officially recommended for teens and above (despite the Atlanta Science Festival's Listing as Adults Only. Therefore we highly recommend that younger folks bring their parents so we avoid any liability, and you can use this event to initiate an awkward discussion on the car ride home. The language will be PG-rated, but obviously there will be off-color jokes about drugs (come on, who could resist). Cannabis, and its medical use is still controversial so if you cannot handle a frank and open discussion on this topic then you might want to skip this event (this means you, Jeff Sessions). Further, public consumption of cannabis is not legal in the State of Georgia, so blazing up at Manuel's Tavern will not be tolerated.
